(Read 32699 times) As these active pa speakers are fairly new out,I was wondering if anyone has used them???The db Technologies Opera412 use B&C bass and HF drivers,but I wonder how reliable the built in amplifier is vs Mackie SRM 450 active speaker???Don't want to buy something that might turn out crap,so need opinions and reviews of the db Technologies Opera range vs the Mackie SRM 450??? Logged I had a pair, which I sold. They sound pretty good but they won't get really loud in my opinion. Also, I think the power rating of the opera speakers is program power, where mackie specifies continous power, so the SRM450 amplifiers are about twice as powerful. It's almost enough to offset the endless winters and suicidal tax rates." / Mike B Anton what you call really loud[110 db+]???Anyway just been to their site and the DB Technologies Opera 412has 225w rms/450w program amp for bass,50w rms/100w program amp for highs.And uses B&C compression driver with Eighteen Sound Neodyium 12 inch bass.So I'm only going to be using them at 90-110 db[max] for monitoring applications in a club!So it won't bother me if they don't go very loud.But whats important to me is the amps inside; how good the amps are due to reliablity so they don't easily overheat,etc??? Logged I had no problems with reliability, but I've heard a rumor that the ones called "Lyric" have a fan, which the older models don't have. The older ones would therefore have some heat issues, but I never noticed any.I wasn't able
